No thanks

Today, my downstairs neighbor had a home birth. Not only did I hear eighteen hours of uninterrupted screaming, they called me afterwards to ask if I could come over to help them clean up. FML

Gross! No way, they need to clean up their own bodily fluids!

What were u doing at home for 18 consecutive hrs… I would had left as soon as the first five mins went by, just saying

Hmm so by not wanting to clean up blood, placenta, mucus, shit, urine and various other lovely additions that come with a birth, the OP is a bitch? Not to mention she wasn't invited to see the baby, but only to clean up after it.... I say the neighbours are the bitches.

This is exactly why I'm choosing NOT to have a home birth. I live in a rented house so I wouldn't disturb the "hive" of an apartment, but I know that I'll be the one to have to cleanse the house, give birth, and have to clean up afterward, Midwife/Doula or not. I'm heading to a birth center where they can take care of it all. Most interesting part? The birth center is in a strip mall. LOL

Eighteen hours is nothing compared to the couple of years you get to endure of the infant waking up and crying in the middle of the night... Have fun.

How is it innconciderate to not want to help someone clean up after that. Its rude to ask anyone that when not planned in the first place. And she deserved it by being close to rude ppl who would have a baby in an apartment complex. Id report them to management

Well, get on with it! Seriously though, why don't they just call a family member or really close friend to help with the clean up? This is just rude.
