By dumb mother - This FML is from back in 2012 but it's good stuff - United States

Today, my mother yelled at me for standing too close to the microwave. Her reason? The radiation was going to seep through, kill my sperm, and cause cancer. FML

Hey, I heard that if you stand too close to the microwave you can get cancer from the radiation in those things. You should probably stay away from them...

It's true. NO! NOT the sperm killing part! If you stand too close to the microwave, you CAN get cancer from too much of that radiation. My mom tells me to step back too. You need to believe her or you could get cancer that, if it becomes bad enough, could kill you.

My mum does that too, apparently radiation can cause cancer if you are exposed to too much of it. I don't know about killing sperm though...

Have you heard of this new radiation? It's apparently many, many times more energetic than mircowaves. Scientists like to call it "green." Apparently it's all comes emits from all kinds of places including trees. You should go cut all of those down. Green is so, so bad for youz. And don't even get me started on purple radiation.

It's funny because microwave waves are less harmful than visible light. If anything visible light will give you cancer faster than microwave radiation. Haha
