What course they were interested in? "How to improve your credibility"?
just a thought here. I hate when people give strong opinions about what a person may have on them in time of complaints of something being expensive and can't really afford something. what if those Starbucks had come from a gift card, or someone else may have lent them money to go out and have a special day and are actually really struggling at home? Granted a lot of people have abused such programs and granted there are people who have just completely ruined a lot of things for most people. We really don't know their situation either, so is it really fair for all of us to judge to not know the full story?
A job once stiffed me by giving me a $50 Starbucks card instead of cash, even though we'd agreed upon cash beforehand. So I had a lot of coffee and snacks for a while, but no groceries. I get really pissed off about how judgemental people are - I'd off handedly mention how difficult it is to be broke and someone would always point out that I always had Starbucks. Like, thank you, I know I have a lot of coffee, it's because caffeine is now my main source of energy, please direct your complaints elsewhere.
#40 I know what you mean. I have been there and for Christmas one year my sister in law bought me a LV purse so whenever I would use it I would get dirty looks because I couldn't afford something but I had a LV purse that I didn't pay for and someone else did.
You could've just sold the gift card for cash
Starbucks is an important part of life... Not as important as Tim Hortons though. You always got time for Tim Hortonsx
They could have had gift cards.
What if someone bought their coffee as a treat? I don't have money to spend but sometimes my boyfriend buys me Dutch bros because he knows I love it.
The lesson is say no to drugs
Don't be so quick to judge. Family members give gift cards all the time. I live out of my car and got a subway giftcard from my boyfriends grandma and I was judged so harshly for "spending money I didn't have" on luxuries such as subway. Take a second look before you judge someone. You know their looks- not their story.
How do you know that one of them didn't have a gift card and bought one for her friend too?

Were they wearing uggs and boasting iphones and leggings too?
If they decide to spend their money elsewhere, that is there responsibility and they should suffer the consequences.
