If you really want some entertainment (and since you already have the 'play toys'! LOL) - get 2 or 3 cats... There are lots of them "free to good homes" this time of year and the team work/ competition thing is interesting (for want of a better word at the moment)!

rats make perfect pets. their smarter than dogs. but you don't need to clean up huge steaming piles of poop, their playful and love attention and can't stop cleaning them selves. I have 16. my two females had babies. 

Pretty soon you will also have some ant and spider friends, what fun!! why dont u just get a dog?

Awww, sorry to hear! Maybe you could get involved in some civic activities or church? That is always a good way to meet people!

awww that's sad! but maybe you should go to the pet store and get a hamster or something like that because, those mice carry many, many diseases!
