Today, I went to the store to pick up some tampons. After waiting in line for about 10 minutes, the male cashier looked at me as I was leaving and said, "Have a nice… week!" FML

Boyfriend buys mine for me. Let him suffer, so I can have one less thing to be peeved about. And that guy should know better than to antagonize someone on their period. you should have given him some PMS hell!

You try to deal with cramps that hurt like hell for a week straight plus headaches and raging hormones. Then MAYBE you can tell us to have some self control, buddy.

Well, it's not as if we can control our mood swings and such. We're not "taking out our anger" on other people. We're just more easily provoked into various moods. Can't control it. I find myself crying over the dumbest things or getting angry more quickly... I can't help it. I mean, the mood swings might be unreasonable, but they ARE caused by something, so it's not as if we're just randomly feeling angry and picking fights with people... There's still a cause to the mood. It just takes less to provoke it. And that's why I have to agree that "going PMS-mode" is kind of ridiculous--PMS isn't something that can be switched on and off.

Though some people seem to be perpetually PMSing, the girls are right, longshot. It is like telling a depressed person to be happy or an angry person to not have a temper. Our moods are shaped by our hormones and its changes and it isn't something that can be controlled. We're going to be angry, we're going to easily irritated, we're going to randomly burst into tears because the pepperoni in the pizza isn't arranged and distributed properly (yes, that happened). That being said, though we have no control over our emotions, we are still responsible for our actions.
