I think it's kinda cute now your real friends will laugh a bit and be nice to you
You my friend have a weird definition of cute...
This is exactly why my mom doesn't need a Facebook.
Oh my God this actually sucks. FYL.
Oh god, the horror!!!
This the same mom who tried to get with the times and made a Facebook along with the dad?
maybe she's hinting to you that you act like a crazy person during your period.
or maybe she's hinting to her friends that she's super sensitive during her period.
Actually YDI: people should be nice to you when you're menstruating
How did she deserve this? Especially for that reason.
At least she cares about you
At least she wasn't trying to make fun if you, she probably genuinely thought she was helping you out!
Yeah, time to have a talk with Mom about appropriateness. Tell her it's like you giving a play-by-play of the sounds when she has diarrhea, with a note to "be nice to her, she's having intestinal problems today." Put into those terms, she's likely to take it right on down. Otherwise, one-up time. See if you can get a sound recording to put online of her when she's making unpleasant bodily noises, from terrible snores to farts to nose blowing to whatever, and put that up online with a note about how bad she feels, something about how many kleenexes she's gone through (and anything embarrassing that happened, such as sneezing productively into her hand...), and post away. Some people are briefly thoughtless and turn around quick when it's nicely pointed out to them, and feel bad and apologize. Hopefully she's one of them. If not, it might be time for a more painful lesson :(
I don't understand your point; it's too brief. Please could you explain in more detail?
not much to explain. Mom isn't getting what is and isn't appropriate. If an explanation doesn't serve to show mom why it's NOT appropriate to make such posts and convince her to remove the post? Then daughter might have to resort to her own example using something that would be publicly embarrassing for Mom. Sometimes, for the severely dense, it takes a dose of their own medicine before they realize they are messing up.
I think #42 was being sarcastic
#60, 1. "appropriate" has different meanings to people 2. nose blowing isn't very embarrassing at all. in fact, I don't find any of it embarrassing. they're just things your body does. maybe if you got caught actually doing something gross, but periods and nose blowing, meh, it's natural, no big deal.

Some parents just shouldn't use social networks.
That's embarrassing, sorry OP!
