Today, my fiancé is returning home, so I decided to wax myself, thinking things would get intimate. I warmed the wax strips and set them on the counter. Our cat jumped onto the counter and managed to roll onto one of the strips. Suffice to say, the wrong pussy got a painful waxing. FML

Why didn't you cut off the cat hair? Seems like the kinder and less traumatizing thing to do after you were the one stupid enough to leave it where the cat could get to it. And why did you warm them and then put them on the counter instead of, oh I dunno, where you were intending to wax?

Cats aren't known for being cooperative. It would probably be easier to just pull the wax strip off than to get the cat to hold still while she used a pair of scissors. He also might be the violent type with the claws. Still kind of a dick move on OP's part though.

Wow, I hope your cat retaliates against you! It would've been a much better option to just shave your cat or slowly cut the fur off... I can't even imagine that... I mean is your cat even okay? Cat skin is pretty fragile, I'm just trying to imagine how that didn't tear at you cats skin! Anyway, I hope you get what you deserve OP, 'cause you cat didn't deserve that!

50- The wax probably seeped down and sealed to the cat's skin in at least some areas. That, combined with the cat's struggling, would make trying to cut it off very dangerous. Using electric clippers to shave the cat probably wouldn't work either because the wax would clog the blade, causing the hairs to catch and rip irregularly and turning the clippers into a torture device. I mean, I love my cats like crazy, but I'm not entirely sure what I would have done in that situation, except maybe call the vet. Sure, OP could have possibly kept a better eye on her pets, but sometimes bad accidents happen, and you learn from them.
