Put that in your pipe and smoke it

Today, I was shopping when I overheard a woman telling an employee that she was buying an iPad for her 5-year-old son. Annoyed, I turned around and ranted about how he should have more age appropriate toys. Then she explained that her son is autistic and will be using the iPad to communicate. FML

Respect strangers, and mind your own business. Problem solved.

Maybe mind your own business next time!

Why get involved in something that's not your business you judgmental bitch

Who the hell are you to tell others what to do with thier kids and money .

Idiot even if he wasn't autistic who are you to judge maybe she wants her son and or daughters to get ahead in life rather than just playing games

I personally don't think they help children get ahead in life. My nephew spends hours playing on an iPad (he's 4), and if you give him something simple to do, or something that doesn't involve a touch screen (say, playing Wii for example, or drawing something) he can't and he gives up and asks someone to do it for him.

YDI mind your own business. And iPads aren't just toys they get used for a lot of important things, like development and therapy for autistic children.

OP, don't worry about all these people telling you YDI. You did exactly what each and every one of them would have been THINKING. Plus u may not have been minding your own business but so many people complain that kids aren't kids anymore like we used to be. Go to iFunny and see how everyone makes fun of/bitches about the "toys" kids have nowadays are the same as what all adults have; smart phones, iPads, etcs. All these people putting you down are fake and they can just shove it!

please don't tell me what i'm thinking. i expressed what i was thinking on my own, without your erroneous help

I'm with you on the age appropriate toys. And even if the child has autism, for God's sake, when did we all forget about having pens and paper, and teaching kids to actually WRITE! Who cares if she eavesdrop...free country. if you don't want people to have the opportunity to be in your conversation, then monitor what you talk about in public.
