Today, I had a massive argument with my boyfriend, in which he called me stupid repeatedly. I stomped out of his house and sent a very angry text to my best friend about him. She didn't text back. Then my boyfriend texted, "My girlfriend is so stupid, she can't even text the right number." FML

Heh, reminds me so much of my relationship with my emotionally abusive ex. He constantly called me stupid, too. And a worthless piece of .... and other such nice things. And then used my random silly mistakes as proof of just how worthless and stupid I am. Well, at least I'm smart enough to give people some space and not drive them insane with my obsessions and selfish demands. Unlike my ex. :( OP, don't feel bad about that loser calling you stupid. You're not stupid, that mistake with the text can happen to anyone whose mind is occupied. Edit: #47, go do some research on "emotional abuse". Such a thing exists and it is very real, I assure you.

I don't get why people are saying you deserved it. Your boyfriend should have learned in kindergarten not to call people names. Everyone makes mistakes when they are frustrated and texting the person your are thinking about instead of who you are intending the message for is a common mistake.

i've done the same thing too. it was a very long text so he only got the first part and then after he got it all he called me and was very pissed. lol.
