Today, I had a massive argument with my boyfriend, in which he called me stupid repeatedly. I stomped out of his house and sent a very angry text to my best friend about him. She didn't text back. Then my boyfriend texted, "My girlfriend is so stupid, she can't even text the right number." FML

#59 - I now feel depressed because of the emotional abuse I have suffered from your comment. Hypocrite! Just kidding. But you're right. Emotional abuse does exist, but it would be wrong to infer from just this one incident that the OP is in an emotional abusive relationship. I am just frustrated when people label ANY insult as emotional abuse. A lot of that depends on how you react, but we've become way too sensitive to this kind of stuff, and to label minor insults as emotional abuse is actually disrespectful to those who actually do endure true abuse. Once again, I was wrong. Sorry to anyone who actually has been abused. I still hate these kind of FMLs.
