Today, I had a massive argument with my boyfriend, in which he called me stupid repeatedly. I stomped out of his house and sent a very angry text to my best friend about him. She didn't text back. Then my boyfriend texted, "My girlfriend is so stupid, she can't even text the right number." FML

LOL. Sorry, you got owned.

I'm in complete disagreement with almost everyone else. This is not a FML, but it a simple mistake. It sounds like this guy is verbally abusive. He has no right to call you stupid, and deserves a slap. I agree that you should end it.

You really are an idiot. Your boyfriend was right.

I suggest dumping him. He sounds like what my twin brother does to me. And it's very annoying. By the way that must have felt really embarassing to have such a moment like that. Ouch.. :P

and yet you stay with someone you calls you names.

That is not funny in the least; that is offensive and abusive behavior. Stand up for yourself. He was rude and disrespectful and no one who loves you will call you stupid. Dump his ass and leave him be.... find someone who isn't an asshole and who doesn't behave in such a way that it provides a story for FML.

How is that abusive? He called her stupid which, since she can't even text properly, sounds like he was dead on. So stop calling his behaviour abusive, you clearly don't even know what abuse is. Yeah it wasn't nice, but whatever, I bet the OP called him names as well which you would consider "abusive". Sheesh, come on people, learn the difference between harsh and abusive. "Stupid" is not an abusive word.

Uh, actually, psychologically that is considered highly abusive. Try not to comment on a subject you clearly know nothing about.
