Today, a girl was tailgating me, even though I was going at speed limit. Annoyed, I drove 10 mph under the speed limit, and every time she honked, I went 5 mph slower. Too bad she got the last laugh… I was pulled over for "reckless driving." FML

Same thing different taste

Today, I was tailgated on the highway. There was a car in the lane next to me, and my tailgater was WAY too close to risk slowing down, so I sped up in order to switch lanes, which bumped me over the speed limit. That's when my tailgater turned on the flashing lights. FML

Today, my neighbor yelled at me for driving recklessly. I was going 35 mph, and she was stopped in the middle of a road around a blind curve. My "reckless driving" was slamming on the brakes so I wouldn't hit her. FML

Tailgate party

Today, while driving home, some idiot kept tailgating me, so I slowed down, hoping he'd overtake me. He didn't, so I pulled to the side of the road. He did the same, in front of me. He kept toying with me until I crashed into another car trying to speed away from him. FML

Today, a girl seemed to be tailgating me while I was driving home. I ended up letting her past as I didn’t like it, so I pulled into the next petrol station. She did too, so I thought I’d ask her why she was tailgating me. She asked what I was going to do about it, before kneeing me in the balls. FML

Today, some aggressive asshole was tailgating me on my way home, bumping into me twice. I got scared and kicked my car into high gear and got out of there. Seconds later, a traffic cop came out of nowhere and pulled me over for speeding. FML

Today, I was tailgated by a car with his high beams on for an hour. Any time I changed my speed or lane, he would do the same. I finally managed to get away from him because a cop pulled me over and gave me a speeding ticket. FML

Today, a cop almost rear-ended my car, slammed on the gas with no warning, swerved around me, flipped me the bird, then cut me off and then drove a full ten miles under the speed limit. When I changed lanes to overtake him, he pulled me over for road rage. FML

Today, the car in front of me was going slow and I flashed my lights and honked. I floored it and passed the car, flipping off the driver. Just as I went around the next corner I got pulled over by a motorcycle cop. A few seconds later, the guy I flipped off drove by honked and waved. FML

Today, after driving a few hours late at night I decided to entertain the car tailgating me by not letting him pass. After doing this for 3miles, reaching 93MPH, I decided to let the car pass me. When I switched lanes, the car tailgating me light up in red and blue. It was a cop. FML

Road rage

Today, I had a “Fuck you” shouting match with a guy who'd tailgated me in the slow lane through an active school zone. I flipped him off when he finally passed, which admittedly wasn’t my best move. He ended up beside me, windows down, where we verbally sparred like teenagers in a dick swinging contest. Regrettably. FML

You don't police the roads. You were probably some ass cruising in the passing lane. If someone's annoying you, just let them pass so both of you can get on with your lives.

Apparently everyone missed the part in drivers ed where you're supposed to slow down in order to help the tailgater pass. Although he shouldn't have been punishing her, she a bitch for tailgating and getting angrier when it would have looked like he was helping he (with the first slow down that is). But yeah make sure not to go too slow

I don't understand why people can't just go the speed limit! I always drive it, or sometimes a couple over. People follow me around like they're DYING because I'm driving too slow in front of them, and sometimes end up tailgating. It's ridiculous! If I go just a bit to one side of the road, some peole seem so hopeful that I'm turning. I end up angry and embarrassed and I'm sick of it. You are actually supposed to slow down when someone is tailgating you - that's even learned in driving classes. Yes, the OP went overboard with it, but I have done the same thing because I get so sick of all the idiot speed demons out there. I don't care WHERE they have to be... they can follow the law getting there. And I am NOT going to risk getting a ticket that I have to pay, that goes on my record, and that will make my insurance rates go up forever. Besides, tailgating is dangerous and they could cause me to be in an accident.

Don't pay attention to the people behind you. They're the ones responsible if they run into you. Yeah I know it would still suck if they ran into you but it makes driving a little less stressful knowing that tidbit.

On one hand YDI for slowing down and being a dick about it...but on the other hand FYL for being pulled over by the cops for it, epsecially if there was a passing zone that she didn't use.
