Scammed

Today, after a little detective work, I found out the money that recently went missing from my college fund was transferred by my mother, to her own account. She claims it's to pay a parking ticket. Maybe I'm just stupid, but I didn't know they fined people over $3,500 for a parking violation. FML

Unless your mom's name is on the account, she legally can't do this (at least in America; I'm not going to pretend to know about Canadian law). If it's the same in Canada and her name is not on your account, I guess it's up to you how far you want to take this.

Must of have been a really Damn good reason to give a ticket like that 0.0

Maybe, the parking tickets had accumulated late fees. Maybe, she tried to pay it on her own! Your mother gave ur ungrateful ass life! She supported you and was probably the one who saved the money (which explains why she has access). And, your complaining?? Money can be replaced! Your mother can NOT! F Her L! For having a child like u!

Oh **** off. She set that money for here kid's college education. She took that money to pay for her god damn mistake. It's her responsibility, not OP's. **** your life for being close minded.

whatevs man at least you had a college fund i had to go do a few years of bullshit to get a gi bill to go to college just sayin your acting like 3500 is alot of money and if you had to oh i dunno get a job to make up the difference it would be the end of the world or something.

How can you complain about not having money and then say $3500 isn't a lot?

Are you freaking kidding me 158? How do you know that college fund wasn't something the kid set up himself with money he got from his own job? And how can anyone not currently making over 50k/yr think 3500 isn't a lot of money? How about this? How about instead of projecting your anger over your own problems at other people, you actually deal with your own problems and work through what life has given you.

It sounds like it's time to take her off of your bank account. She will run you dry. Now that she knows she can take your money, she will.

Take her name off the account or transfer the rest to another account. For $3500 she should've consulted you first. For $3500 I need to see some paperwork.

Never in a million years would I allow anyone to have access to my bank account. Certainly not my mother. You should do the same OP and take charge of your own money. If it's for your education, regardless of who put it there, then that is what it should be used for, and no one but you should have access to it. Ever.
