Today, I went to the doctor and found out that I am infertile. When I called my boyfriend of 2 years, with whom I was hoping to have a future, to talk to him about it, all he said was, "So does this mean I don't have to wear a condom anymore?" FML

He was pretty insensitive if he knew you wanted to have kids. Although the no condom thing is good news.

I think he wasn't being insensitive, maybe he was trying to be lighthearted about it. Possibly not the best way to approach it, but people (especially men) don't always know the right way to handle touchy emotional subjects. In a way you should be happy... He didn't freak out and dump you, he's making it clear to you that he loves you just the way you are and isn't worried about it. If you want kids, adopt one, there are enough babies in the world without making another :) some child out there will be lucky to have you as a mom.

You still need to use condoms!! Infertile= Reduced chances of reproduction Sterile= No chance of reproduction Google "infertile vs. sterile" (I am also infertile)

I don't understand. You want to have a baby but have not had luck so you go in for some fertility tests? But you were still making him wear a condom? Why in there in the first place?
