Snafu

Today, while on my driving test, the guy told me to pull over and do a U-turn. A few minutes later, he asked me to do another one. After the test, he said I'd failed because the second U-turn was illegal, and I should have refused to comply. I didn't know they're even allowed do that. FML

Why would he let you take an illegal turn, or even suggest it in the first place? Sounds to me like someone has to reread their job description

Maybe you should report that because they aren't allowed to tell you do something illegal.

My tear instructor told me upfront he wouldn't make me do anything illegal lol wtf OP that sucks

Yep, they throw in false turns and stops to see if you know the code. Study a bit more and try again, OP.

why is no one pointing out the fact that they actually should not ask you to do something illegal, regardless of the fact that you were being tested? your instructor was being a douche, and you should report him.

OP, sorry for your luck but I live in Pennsylvania and they do the same thing here. Know the law and follow it. If they tell you to turn during a red light look for no turns on red signs. Its a test and he tested you.

Kinda sounds like he just decided he didn't like you and wanted to fail you whether you did well or not.

This is why, even if it's in 2 years, I'm so ******* nervous for my driving test. Driving instructors are so cruel these days and pretty much for the entire test, they're just tricking people's minds into doing illegal driving acts, and they fail people just for that. How were you even supposed to know it was illegal first of all? You're a NEW driver, only 15 or 16 years old... FYL dude.

I may get buried for this comment but that was a test and you should've known The rules by that point. If The road you're driving has a contínuos(?) like in The middle of it, you shouldn't let your car's tyres touch it, let alone cross it unless there's a obstacle on your way.

They're not. They can't ask you to do anything illegal and there can't be trick questions. Report him

Where I live they can do that and they do. Lots of people fail because of it.
