Sneeeeek!

Today, I went out to get milk from the garage fridge for my mom. The moment I stepped out, my foot settled on the neighbor's boa, who likes to escape. After my mom finally opened the door to my frantic shouting, she spotted the snake, slammed the door, and locked both of us outside. FML

Personally, I would return the head and eat the rest, snake meat is yum-my :) just kidding, not sure if boa tastes the same as a rattlesnake, I would imagine it does though. Yes eating snake meat is a thing in Louisiana and a few other states.

Tell your neighbor to get a better setup with a locking lid. As a dedicated snake owner, personally, I'd be abhorred to learn that someone was that careless with their animal.

Especially this time of year. It's so cold out!

sorry op,I think they should take better care of it before it gets killed by someone

How does a boa escape? Be glad it didn't bite you! Call animal control; they are big and some dogs are small.

The worst part of the whole experience was that I thought I hurt the boa by stepping on it. I was horrified that I could do such a thing, even if on accident

Well as long as neither party was hurt this can be a funny story for the future. However you REALLY should talk to your neighbor about being more careful about his snake!! Most people probably would either try to kill it or get someone else too when its just chilling. Snakes are pretty cool pets and its a shame that they have such a negative stigma
