Today, I was babysitting a five year-old boy. Somehow the topic of relationships came up, and he asked me if I had a boyfriend. When I told him that I was single, he got all excited and asked if he could be my boyfriend. It would have been cute… except he was the first guy to ever ask me out. I'm 18. FML

don't worry about it! a great guy will come along one day, no need in wasting your time on useless guys anyways. do it once, do it right.

so? i know lots of beautiful, smart, and amazing girls that have never had a boyfriend because they're just shy with guys or prefer not to mess with relationships (which, in my opinion, is a good move on their part).

Hehe thats so cute! The little kid must be so sweet, I love children. Dont sweat the not having a boyfriend thing, as long as you are content with what you have and dont go looking for more the right person will show up, you'll fall in love, get married and then have sweet little childrens together.

that's quite a bitter-sweet FML. it's sweet that he asked you, but sad that you're 18. but then, i'm a 17-year-old guy and i've never been asked out by a girl. i've asked one or two, but they've all said no. so i feel your pain.

I've got a few years ahead of you and thats my life story. Well in 7th grade a really ugly guy stalked me for 2 weeks and asked me out.

Seriously, stop moaning. I hate to sound harsh, but FMLs about never being asked out are kinda lame...especially if you're under 20. Maybe you just haven't met the right guy or something. It was sweet the kid asked you out though. I hope you said yes to humour him!

#99, you took the words right outta mi mouth

awww=[ and #99, i would agree with you except for the fact that I'm 15 and there is tons of pressure put on people to be asked out, or when everyone notices people asking their friends out and not them it kind of ruins their self-esteem. I have been asked out before, but the thing that I think bothers most people is not that their not DATING someone, but that no one shows even interest in them

#102 (this is #99) I've just turned 16 and I don't care. If I was 25 then I probably would but why waste your teenage years moaning over the fact you haven't got a boy/girl friend? If you have one, great! If not, just hang out with your mates until the right person comes along.
