Today, it's my long-anticipated 21st birthday! Today also happens to be the first day of my period. I've spent the whole morning in the fetal position with agonizing cramps, reduced to tears, and whimpering while the painkiller refuses to kick in. Happy birthday! Love, my uterus. FML

Oh goodness, I've had my period (with crippling cramps and nausea) on my birthday pretty much every year since I got my period. It's hell. I know how you feel...it does suck. Oh and #3...I think she means the first day of THIS particular period.

Aw. that really sucks. I know this was posted in april, but since it's the end of june you're probably on your period again right now, like me. I have terrible cramps right now too, and your FML is the story of my life. i hope you feel better.

I also used to get really bad cramps, to the point of vomitting. Turns out when your periods get that bad it could be a sign of a hormonal imbalance, I went on birth control and most months I don't even bother with midol.

I know it's not universal, but most girls I know who are on the pill find that the cramping is a lot less painful, as well as less frequent. You should give it a try if you haven't already.
