I'm so sorry for you girl!! I really resent the negative comments written here by women- have a little empathy!! Just because your cramps aren't that bad, or can be dealt with by popping some pills, doesn't mean it is the case for everyone!! And I have tried more natural and pharmaceutical remedies than I can count! The thing is, when you know someone who experiences it, and seen them endure it, THEN you empathise, as my parents and close friends have. Sweats and shivering bordering on fever, vomiting, and pains in your tummy so bad you get cramps in your legs from clenching with the pain.. I dare you to tell me to harden up when I can't get up!!! Hopefully a while longer on the Pill will help.. it does for me for spans of time, even if they do come occasionally back after an absence as bad as ever :(

I remembered reading this a few days ago and decided to come back and comment because I'm having the identical problem right now. I hope you felt okay eventually and that your birthday, or at least the day after, was good.

Oh, that's gotta suck. The worst pain I've experienced is when I didn't eat for a while. My stomach was saying "EAT YOU MO-FO! EAT!" It felt like someone was stabbing me with a knife, well, probably almost that bad. I could barely walk it hurt so bad. What happened to you was probably worse. I'm a guy by the way.

Reminds me of the time I had first-day period cramps the morning I had to take my SAT, and I had to go to prom that night because I was on the committee, after weathering dinner in a dress I couldn't breathe in. Nor could I walk. :( Happy birthday anyway. #242: she said fetal position. sometimes period cramps feel like someone's flamethrower-ing your lower midsection while simultaneously trying to rip out your uterus and other nether organs with their bare hands and maybe a fork. :/ So, no, you probably don't really understand.

Oh That Sucks. Hopefully things got better for you after the pain killer decided to kick in. but dont feel bad I know exactly how you feel!

That's rough :( I get cramps that bad sometimes too. It doesn't happen enough to really be a big medical problem (it's probably every 3 months), and when I talked to my doctor about it years ago she prescribed extra-strength naproxen sodium (AKA Advil.) But when it happens, wow, it is BAD... almost fainting and the like. Awful way to spend your birthday!

#10, I must assume that you are a man, since you do not know what it is like when your uterus is spasming. It hurts like a bitch, and I'd say that is a real problem.
