Today, my girlfriend missed our date, so I angrily texted her, telling her if she can't make our dates then we should break up, and generally telling her off. Five minutes later I get a picture of her sleeping in a hospital bed from her mother, saying, "Shut the fuck up, she had appendicitis." FML

Today, our dog became ill. My mom wasted no time attending her every needs and became very distressed. When I had appendicitis a few months ago, my mom told me to “sleep it off” and a friend had to take me to the hospital. She only called once to bitch at me for “doing this on purpose to make her feel bad.” FML

What's wrong with people these days? Whatever happened to if someone doesn't make a date.. you call them to find out why instead of generalizing that the worst happened. If she was 15 minutes or so late.. you could have just called or texted her to find out where she was. Obviously her family didn't' like you enough to tell you what had happened. Maybe they sensed your douche bage tendencies. Besides, in the heat of her problem, I'm sure as most mothers would be that her prime concern would be for her daughters health and safety, not texting some asshole about anything. There are so many things you have to do when admitting someone into the hospital that I'm sure the parent was very busy. The daughter was obviously too busy to make contact with you as well..
