Yea, I'm with the others. I have a 6 year old sister and she doesn't really grasp the concept of dying.. and when I was little I told my parents I wanted to live in Cali with my grandparents because they had a mansion.. but if I had, after a couple of days I would've missed my parents..when you're a kid it's all about the toys and such.

Don't take it too hard. I felt the same way about my grandparent's house when I was little. You just don't realize that if you were their responsibility, rather than their visitor, things would change.

There's a difference between not understanding death and not knowing it isn't okay to tell someone to die. 6 year olds are capable of being taught that some things aren't right to say, they don't have to understand it to know better. Fail. That said, 6 year olds are basically little sociopaths. They only care about getting what they want. So for your 6 year old, all she cares about in this equation is the treatment she expects to receive from her aunt and uncle. The only things that keep little kids from killing their parents while they sleep is the fact that kids are too small, and they can't formulate and carry out murder plans.

No one's mother can be useless since she had to put up with bearing, clothing, feeding, housing, and guiding them from the moment they were born. I would say my dad is useless cause I haven't seen him since I was 5, but if I had no idea he could be such an asshole, it wouldn't have inspired me to be kind to women and feel bad for single parents who ar ein situations my mom used to be in.
