YDI for not being at the airport early enough. Unexpected events should always be concidered might happen when planning how early you should go to the airport.
Yeah, you should have been there at least two hours in advance. Shit happens, and I'd rather be waiting around reading a book than missing my flight. YDI for not being prepared.
Awwwe that is actually the sweetest thing not good that you were searched but ah kids... and to the previous comments, lots of children have BB guns, it's a play gun. but hurts.
WHY would you have bb gun around a 5 year old . U dersevre what u got .bb guns hurt and u can take someone eyes out.
A straw can take someones eye out if they fall on it! So should we not let kids drink from straws either?
that was cute though. The kid meant no harm he's probably never been on the plane and doesnt know anything about security. Kids have imaginations. Dont beat the kid thank him and tell him to tell you first before he is going to do something. He'll totally understand. By beating him you'll push him away and when he gets older you'll be the dad he wont want around his friends, etc.
YDI for having a BB gun in the first place, let alone it belonging to one of your kids. People like you shouldn't be able to have kids. I hope airport security call child services on you.
You're an idiot. The BB gun belonged to his older brother, who for all we know could be a young adult. The brother should have shown some responsibility in putting the gun away, yes, but if the parent believes that that particular child is old enough to own a BB gun, then that child is probably old enough to the point where he doesn't have to be supervised 24/7. Who the hell are you to determine who should and shouldn't have kids?

It sucks when kids do stuff like that, but they really don't know any better. Best is to tell them that they've done wrong, and hope that they won't do it again.
Hope you got compensation or put on another flight for free :/
