Today, I summoned up the courage to tell my crush how I've felt about her for the past two years. I really poured out my heart and soul, and she nodded and smiled throughout. Once I'd finished, she told me that she believes "sex is unnatural", and that she could never date a guy who wanted it. FML

That's one of the most natural things you can do

You're not telling us the whole story. Sex is one of the few "natural" things people do. Perhaps she meant that interspecies sex is unnatural between a human female and a horny leprechaun or a smelly ogre.

She rejected him. Shrek's not coming into anything now.

use of the word "unnatural" makes her seem crazy. but, she could have some religious/social/psychological objection to sex. Asexuality is uncommon, but we are out there

Asexuality in humans means that someone is not attracted to males or females, so, it would be harder for them to have the urge to procreate.

129, people vary greatly as far as sexual desires go, some people just don't want any type of relationship that involves sex (ex. just friends). It happens.

There are plenty of asexual people. Generally, the thought of sex doesn't appeal to them and they feel no sexual attraction towards either male or female. That, of course, does not include romantic feelings. There's a specific term for that too, but I can't remember it. Asexual people usually still have normal relationships, love and all, minus the sex.

We asexuals generally don't like being told we really actually want sex or romantic relationships. I know my wants and needs better then a stranger on the Internet. If I say don't want sex, I want people to respect that instead of acting like I don't know what I want and they do. I KNOW I'm not attracted to anyone and that I don't have some latent secret desire to be with someone. I just am not interested in sex, as hard to understand as that may be.

#349 being asexual does not mean we don't have sex altogether. it could potentially be that, but for those in relationship with a heterosexual then sex can and will usually come up.

What the hell does sex have to do with starting a relationship? If you told her "I think you're really hot and I wanna bang you", you're a moron.

maybe she was being honest about it . . . but if not shes not worth your time anyways !

Thats awkward for her cuz sex was involved when she was made O.o

Tell her you fantasize about sharing a life of eternal platonic celibacy with her. That'd freak the shit out of her!

Wow this is the story of my life...except I haven't told her yet...dear god I hope I get a different reaction

She obviously reproduces through mitosis. Geez.

And have two daughter cells exactly like her??? Um bad idea.
