Don't be so hateful to the cutest house pet possible! If anything's the spawn of the devil it's the Christian belief, as they operate it in fear/hatred of the devil and Hell (and some even in the fear of God, which is why I am against it, because it teaches us to hate our ancestors, and it has continuity errors (such as at one point it says God forgives all and at another it has God saying he'll never forgive someone); it also shows hatred to naturally occurring things, such as homosexuality and the 7 deadly "sins", the latter of which are just natural human emotions that should only be kept in check otherwise they could get you in serious trouble. But anyways, cats are the best critters out there; they hate the beautiful and powerful white tiger among their breeds, lions are awesome and fierce, and the house cats are just plain adorable!

I hope you aren't the type that likes to give the "get rid of all your pets or I will leave" ultimatum. 17 cats is ridiculous but as long as they are cared for, there isn't much you can do.
