The student becomes the master

Today, I threatened my kids I’d turn off their WiFi unless they did their chores, so my eldest chimed in, "Please, we changed the WiFi password months ago in case you tried to threaten us like this," then turned off my WiFi, which I need to work from home. I had to beg a 12-year-old to let me work. FML

Just factory reset the router. And take away all of their electronics. Punks!

Be glad it’s your kids and not the neighbor, they probably saved you from having some interesting IP search histories.

go to your router an hold down the reset button for about 15 seconds... sends it back to its default settings

I hope you took away all their electronics, locked them in a safe, and changed the wifi password. Seriously, those kids hsve zero respect for you, it's time to show them consequences.

That’s when you whip their butts with the belt. Kidding!. Just reset the password and tell him the internet is just for you and you alone, they’ll be begging for a beating instead of no internet

The simplest solution without any technical knowledge is to unplug the router. No matter what, the wifi won't work if there is no power.

You obviously need to learn a few things about how the electronics in your house work if your kids are that much more advanced than you.

Have to agree with the spankings on this one. Those brats need a swift pop in the ass. They should also never have access to the WiFi password to be able to change it.

If they changed the password how were you connected to the wifi on your work device without knowing the new password?
