There was an attempt

Today, I came home from a rough day working two jobs to find a plate of cookies on my desk with a note from my roommates saying, "You deserve it!" I happily broke one in half to eat and discovered they contained coconut. I'm allergic to coconut, a fact that both of my roommates are aware of. FML

There's still a small chance they forgot...but if they didn't, that's just sad.

At least you realized it had coconut in it before you ate it.

I'm sure with ur allergies u keep benadryl close by

It's really a matter of whether it was malicious or not, and I expect OP is in a better position than us to tell which it was. Some people don't seem to really understand that you can't mess about with allergies, so whilst it's a terrible thing to do, their biggest crime is stupidity rather than cruelty. All you can do there is try to make them understand and if they can't, write them off as a lost cause and never eat anything they cook. If they just plain forgot and wanted to do something nice for OP, then that's very sweet and they'll likely feel awful and be apologetic so there's no need to take it any further. If they were malicious though, just get out of there, OP. Do whatever you can to move out as soon as possible, you definitely don't want to surround yourself with people who think it's okay to hurt others for fun.

there is also the slim chance that the cookies werent for op but a room mate just needed to out them down and ops desk was just the only place to do so

Hang out with them outside give them toy guns or something that resembles a weapon Make sure you call the cops first and tell them that there are two lunatics pointing Guns at you they'll come and shoot them first, ask questions later

Coconut is one of the most hypoallergenic foods, I have literally never heard of anyone being allergic to it before.

Just because a coconut allergy is unheard of doesn't mean it's unlikely. My sister's best friend and I are both allergic to coconut
