Gnome-nap one of them, take a picture of it in famous places or cities, send the photos to your mother as a post-card... That will blow her mind!

have fun with this op. when she's not looking, take a gnome and press it's feet into the dirt all the ways to her bedroom window, making a set of gnome tracks. then claw mark up the wall. show her, sit back and watch her freak!

Nah, just creep out each night and move them all fractionally closer to the front door. If you want to get really freaky, repaint their eyes so they are all looking up at her bedroom window.
