Was it a red printer? Are you going to burn your office building down because you can't get it back?
I would have told them to check the cameras, not to mention I would have had some kind of agreement and proof that I was bringing it in the first place.
Get the serial number on it and have the police or store where you bought it trace it and have them print it off as evidence it's yours

Talk to the person who orders office supplies. Get them to tell the boss that this printer was never ordered, and that you indeed brought it from home.
You shouldn't have let him take your printer its your property fight it to the point of being arrested
I agree that you should have informed someone in the office that the office printer was broken. However, kudos to your initiative to bringing in your own stuff to ensure your work remained efficient.
