you sir deserve a medal
YDI YDI YDI... Personally, I wish I could punch liberals in the mouth every time I was forced to hear that BULLSHIT, too
Sadly, OP, you proved his point by being a ranting dingus. YDI for not appreciating the insights of the young....
Its only a kid, it wouldnt have hurt
That was completely rational.. we came VERY close to nuclear war during the Cuban missile crisis.. Yes that was in the 60's but still the Cold War.
You say this person was a "kid." Well, as a kid, how would he know what it was like in the 50s? Kids these days think they know everything...and of course their parents don't teach them what's acceptable to say/do in public and what isn't.
That quite a statement coming from you Mr. Weaboo.
Maybe he was referring to the fact that crime was much less, people were much more respectful, police were respected and were more respectful as well. not everything in the 50s was shite. you negative nancy, deserved it
Considering Im mixed race, a woman, and in an interracial relationship I certainly wouldn't want to live in the 50's. It's easy to idolize a generation after society has corrected all of their wrong doings (marital rape made illegal, domestic violence has real consequences and you cant just lynch people out in the open with no fear of consequences). There was less gun violence and terrorism in the 50's but I live in a good neighborhood so its not really an issue for me and I wouldn't trade my fair pay, marriage rights, and ability to walk down the street and drink out of a public fountain for those two things. For all the hysteria about attacks from the middle east that we have today, there was equal if not more hysteria about the cold war and Russia in the 50's. As far as kids being more respectful that MIGHT be true BUT there was also horrific child abuse in the 50's and earlier, its one of the reasons we have so many laws protecting children now, quite a few kids from the era turned to drugs and alcohol in the subsequent decades because of the way they were treated. Its still possible to raise respectful, hard working kids in the modern era, Im doing it and so are many other attentive parents.

He was just an immature child who couldn't admit he was wrong. All the same, argument won.
It was much much worst back then, than it is now. The stuff today is 100x better in comparison.
