Today, a soldier in my unit had unknowingly lost a GPS in the woods and my section was sent to go find it. After hours of wading through chest high swamps in 32 degree weather, the GPS was found, thanks to the soldier who lost it. It was in his vest. FML

I can't believe people think this says anything about the state of the military. Do you know how many highly intelligent people do shit like this on occasion? It happens.

I found a pair of new military night vision goggles on the side of the road on a military base once. I turned them into the MP station, they tracked them down to the unit they belonged. I heard the whole battalion was on lockdown until the the nvg's were located. Lost military items is a serious matter.

WTF, it's a GPS. How could you NOT know where it is?

That is so rude. Mistakes happen, jerk. Oops. Supposed to be a reply to number 12 I think.
