Today, after a full shift at work, I got home to my boyfriend playing CoD, a full sink, crap all over the table, a full cat box, dirty bathroom, no laundry done and the kids at my parents' house. He yelled at me because the place was a mess. FML

So what! You aren't married, no excuses about a messy house, you chose to live with him, deal with it. If you were married, than I would say FYL, but since you aren't married, I have to say YDI. Now, you might not think that way, but it's honestly true. When you're married, the way a house is kept is completely different because of the complete change of mind set. I've been down both paths and they're extremely different. Also... there is nothing wrong with playing COD, would you rather have him play WoW? I doubt it.

I'll say FYL, because no one deserves to be abused by their significant other--and yes, yelling and blaming someone else for your own problems (i.e., house is messy because you were playing video games) is abuse. That said, you have to take responsibility for your own love life. Please, if you have even an iota of respect for yourself and your kids, dump this creep's ass. You'll be much, much better off.

The best way to deal with that is to leave a reminder note or just say something like. Have a great day. Play all the video games you can. When I get home I would appreciate it if you could have done 2 of the following. Dishes, Laundry, Bathroom, Cat box.

that does not work!!! it's a good idea but most guys that are like that don't care if the house is dirty and would rather do what they want then what needs to be done.
