just because he might be 18 or 19 doesn't make it okay to date a 17, I'd rather wait till there 18 then go to jail or have a "pedophile" mark on my record. Why did it take so long for you two to contact on another anyway, I'm assuming that you two talked for awhile anyway, unless you met them online and two days later decided "hey, maybe I should fly down and see you"

Wait wait, so 17 is not an age of consent? (sorry, not from US) In most of the western world the age of consent is no higher than 16. Above that what happens in one's bedroom is no one's business. And btw, having an older significant other does not imply one sleeps with them ;) IMHO: 1. the OP was clearly not bright. Visiting before talking on the phone?! 2. Wrong. The age of consent varies from state to state. For example, in NY it's 17 but in many states it's 16 [like GA]. In some states, it's 18 [like Cali]. Plox to be learning something before you start talking out your ass.
