Cynner, while climbing out the window might have made a great punchline for this, the problem is he shouldn't have had to do anything. He should have had more pride than to tag along to "get the girl" or because "she might be testing him." Whatever excuse the Op used to make him stay was obviously because he liked the girl and has no backbone. Instead of climbing out the window, try the front door.
