Today, after having recently moved 300 miles to be with my boyfriend of 2 years, I have to celebrate Christmas alone. He never thought our relationship important enough to tell his family about me, and doesn't want it to be "awkward." FML

Maybe he's just afraid that if you meet his family you'll pack up and move the 300 miles back to where you came from... lol. Some people's families are really ******* weird... I should know. Why not just talk to him about it some more? Communication is a good thing

Shouldn't you have asked about all this stuff - everything from moving to meeting family - well before any of it actually happened so you know exactly what you're getting into?

I had the same thing happen to me- I was upset- THEN he broke up with me on Valentines Day and I had to drive all the way home with my stuff...21 hrs from TX to IN
