Today, after supporting my girlfriend for over a year in her endeavour to lose weight, exercise more, and eat better, my now-slender girlfriend dumped me, because she's found someone "better" than me. FML

did anybody think maybe the girlfriend resented the "push" towards exercising and dieting, and decided to leave him because of that? she could have talked it out rather than leaving him, maybe she did and the op is just giving a one sided perspective this is just my attempt to look at the other side, theres also a big chance she is just an unappreciative bish, i just thought it was weird nobody might think his "push" might have been seen as offensive, she may have liked who she was before, and the fact that he wanted her to become better made her resent him and want a "better" guy, either way good luck on the next girl op

thats what it implies but a lot of people say things the way that make their view point sound bettter, he could have chosen her endeavor for her, some people can rationalize that in their heads

Losing any amount of significant weight doesn't happen overnight, and if she was so offended at this presumed attitude towards her weight then she would have never engaged in the exercising and dieting in the first place. It feels like you're just trying really hard to take her side of things without really thinking things through.

Were you supporting her to lose weight? Or were you making snide comments so she would lose weight?... It's possible that OP did something to make her want to lose weight and then dump him. We don't know the whole story....

As a parting gift and to let her know that there is no hard feelings give her a tub of slim right slimming power only replace it with weight gain powder. Karma is a bitch but there is no harm in giving it a little push. .
