Today, as every day for the past few weeks, my husband won't have sex. His reason? We've decided to have a baby, and he reckons that the longer he waits, the more competition there will be between his sperm and thus the better the result will be. FML

I've heard about that but only if he has a low sperm count. A few weeks seems extreme to wait. Maybe you can get an ovulation test to find out when you're most likely to ovulate. And of course research and educate him on increase your chances that won't lead you to sexual frustration. Planning your baby seems exciting. Good luck!

Actually, it is common practice for doctor's to tell you not to have sex every day when trying to get pregnant. Reason being is because he WILL be more potent on the days he does. That being said, it's still a FYL, because even then he should still be having sex a couple times a week. So.....let him do his thing, buy yourself an ovulation test, and when ovulating you automatically get to control having sex!
