Ouch! Unfortunately, I know your pain. A few months ago my cat had a partial impaction. Since we'd dealt with this twice before (she is a medium-haired cat), the vet taught me last time how to help her so that I didn't have to keep bringing her to the emergency clinic. I put on a glove, oiled up, and as I was helping her pass the part of the poo that was still inside, she got flustered, twisted around and struck out at me with the claws of one hand. I jerked in surprise, and one claw caught me right in the tear duct. It pierced all the way through, and the momentum made me feel like I'd been punched. Even though I cleansed it well, I ended up getting a pus-filled stye and the tiniest black eye ever. There is nothing like the pain of having a cut on your tear duct! :/
