Today, as I was closing my car door, I realized I had left the keys in the ignition. Not wanting to lock myself out, I reached to stop the door from closing. Not only did I scream when the door slammed on my hand, but in my furious pain, I leaned on the door, locking my keys inside. FML

Today, while driving, I realized I had left my phone on top of my car when I was getting in. Panicking, I drove back to look for it. I found it in the middle of the street, still intact. Yay! When I went back to my car, I noticed I had locked my door, and the keys were in the ignition. FML

Today, in a rush to get out of my house to go to a doctor's appointment, I closed the door behind me without having my house or car keys on me. Sadly, it took me less than a minute to break into my own house. FML

Today, whilst heading out the door to go to work, my lanyard got caught on the doorknob inside, and I watched my keys swing back inside as the door closed behind me. It was locked. FML

Today, I accidentally locked my car and house keys along with my phone in my car. Then I had to break into my own house looking for the spare. Someone called the police and I had to explain that I lived there. I forgot to grab the spare when I went to talk to the police officers I locked the door behind me. FML

That sucks... you must have a really old car or something, most modern cars won't lock the driver's door if the key is in the ignition.

I totally sympathize. I accidently locked my thumb in a car door a few years ago. I ended up losing the nail. I can't imagine how painful an entire hand must feel :(

I feel way bad for you, yikessss. I slammed my left hand ring finger in the car door a couple of years back but never went to the doctor, even though it was in the door for more than 30 seconds. It was blueish/purple but I put it in ice and the swelling eventually went down. But now it rises in the middle so when all my fingers are straight, the ring finger is bent.
