Today, as I was walking into CVS, two older men outside said to me "Young lady, please consider us on your way out." Thinking they were hitting on me, I rolled my eyes and said "Screw you." When I walked back outside, I realized they were asking for AIDS donations. FML

Today, I was walking down the street and while stopped at a light, this old man waved at me. Thinking nothing of it, I walked through a parking lot to get to where I was going, where he not only followed me, but mistook me for a prostitute. It was 5pm. FML

Today, I saw an old man who needed help crossing the street. I went over to him and helped him across the street. When he thanked me, I said, "No problem, sir." They responded by hitting me in the happy sacks and screaming that they were a woman. FML

Today, at the supermarket, an old lady asked for directions to the produce aisle. Having read way too many stories lately on this very site about awful elderly folks, I was wary, but helped her out. She gave me an awkward hug in thanks, lifting my wallet in the process, as I later found out. FML

@nomad: it's not a matter of what is said between the two people; it's what may or may not happen if she would have stuck around. yeah, you can say who cares if they were hitting on you? but what if she had "been polite and went to see what they were doing" and been sexually assaulted? then would it be so appropriate to say who cares? so she messed up: they weren't rapists. but I think that she was just looking out for her own safety.

#14: Im a girl, and I definately wouldnt consider that a pick up line. I would actually look at them and then see that they were asking for donations. #22: stfu, you dont realize that people can be born with AIDS and HIV people are RAPED and guys can be raped too. Many things can happen, take the 80s they didnt check if someone had a disease before they took their blood. So a lot of people gave and got blood that had AIDS/HIV so bam they had the disease. So you really need to shut up cause that karma is going to come back on YOU.
