Today, at a concert, I noticed a cute keytarist in one of the bands. After they got off stage, I asked their bass player if she was single. He replied, "actually, she's married," holding up his left hand, he continued, "to me." FML

Today, I found out my friends were dating, which, OK, might seem normal. Unfortunately, I had this really big crush on this girl. I really admired her because she was a pianist and I was a violinist, and we often jammed together. I was gonna tell her, but before I could she told me she has a boyfriend now. FML

I think he was just letting you know :-) You deserve to know, but you don't deserve rudenes. If he was rude, don't waste your money buying their records/going to their concerts. He has no reason to be rude at all. It's really no big thing, as long as the person is polite. it's similar to hitting on someone and them saying they're not interested/taken. It's necessary to be honest in that sitaution, but it is not necessary to be rude. He should have come across with an, "I'm sorry, that's my wife." HE was the rude one, not you.
