Today, at a family gathering, my aunt asked me when I was planning to have children. I'm only 16, I laughed and said not for a while, definitely not until I get married. My family shook their heads, and ignored me for the rest of the day. Apparently, teenage pregnancy is valued in my family. FML

Today, while at a family reunion, I jokingly asked my 18-year-old son, "When are you and your girlfriend going to give me a grandson?" He then retorted, "When are you going to die?" I was unable to answer at all. FML

Today, we found out that my 13-year-old cousin is pregnant. My mom then turned to me and asked why I decided to wait so long. I’m only 20. Instead of being worried that this young girl has potentially ruined her entire life, my mom just complained that her sister "gets to be a grandma first." FML

In a tired and sarcastic tone, I jokingly said, “I’m actually getting married next month!” The room went silent, then some of them cheered. Today, my mom asked me out of the blue if I was ever going to consider getting married. It wasn't until after the conversation ended that I remembered my siblings are all either single like I am, or incapable of having children. Sounds like my family. My sis in law got a lecture about birth control being evil b/c it was against god's plan. The member of the family giving said lecture had a vasectomy and only had two daughters. Sorry your family is a pain.

for the people who are saying this is fake, i have to disagree. im 15, also waiting til marriage but my parents have been asking when i'll give them a grandson, since my sister had a daughter and doesn't want anymore kids, and step-siblings have no intention of settling down. imj sorry op. i know how you feel.

Do yourself a favor and have children when you can support yourself, and because your family comes surely from Whackville, I can almost clearly assume they're gonna meet boys that can turn into boyfriends for you. Good luck with your family OP, people like you make this planet a better place.
