Today, at my retail job, a woman came to my till with her purchases. After I scanned all her items, she handed me two small bags. One was filled with nickels and dimes. The other was filled with cents. Her total was $28.53. The coins amounted to $22.30. FML

Those types of people are a dime a dozen. Why wouldn't she bring enough money to a store? That doesn't make much cents.

Wow. Every retail job I've ever had had a policy stating if someone were to pay with only coins, they had to be rolled. It gave people the opportunity to short the store a few pennies, but that was on the management.

So what you're saying is... she didn't have enough cents? :) Sorry, had to.

This happened to me too today. Since the customer brought in the coins, I decided I'll take my time counting them. 10 minutes later, he didn't look happy-I was only halfway done :)

FYL. I would have called another employee to come and help count it.

"The other was filled with cents". making no sense, made me laugh though. money machines for large change use should be mandatory.

It sucks you guys didn't have a coinstar around.

I guess she was a little centsless. Maybe she should have taken a more accurate centsus. But it sounds like she was either a centenarian or cent by the devil. At the very least, I think we can come to the concentsus that there's just no change in some people.

i bet that woman is related to these motherfuckers who always order pizzas and pay in ridiculous amounts of change. like i stood on their porch with their order in the bag on my arm and i counted out every last penny from the baggie they handed me before i handed over the food and it was around 26 bucks so i was on the porch for awhile. **** that shit hard. if you're gonna be that big of a douche then i'm gonna be that much of a ****.

next time say we don't accept it in small change. and for that customer i would have told her that it's not enough money and ask for big change
