Today, at work, I noticed a spider on a female co-worker's shirt. I gently brushed it off. She accused me of sexual harassment. FML

The spider was on her shoulder to those who asked.

the spider should be the one accused of sexual harassment

Nobody gives a damn if you're first. It makes you look like a jackass. To OP - For future incidences, DO NOT TOUCH WOMEN NO MATTER WHERE. They will usually consider it sexual harassment. Just point it out and let them deal with it.

Wait what? I'm a girl and I would def rather have someone brush a spider off (although they should probably say "there was a spider on your shirt" before or after brushing it off). If they just told me, I'd freak out. Co-worker's fault. Especially if it was on her shoulder ...

He does not deserve it - the girl is just the product of a paranoid society. Some people really do fall for the media-fuelled belief that every stranger is dangerous, anyone taking photos in a public area is a peadofile, and all men who talk to or have physical contact with a woman are doing so for sexual reasons - a lot of the FML's on this site do seem to show instances where these beliefs has been the subject of embarassment for the posters. Assuming he used the standard brushing motion to remove the spider, and it was not actually on her breasts, it is inconceivable that a rational person would construe that as sexual harassment. Of course if it was on her breasts, then that was stupid and he did deserve it to an extent, but the mention of shirt rather than chest or breast would suggest not. Also, like others have mentioned, telling her there was a spider would have been much more amusing.

Spiders terrify me, so if there was a spider on my shirt or anywhere else on me and a person saw and told me about it instead of getting it off me, I would freak the hell out. OP, she should be thankful you got rid of the damn thing for her.

He mentions in #21 that it was on her shoulder, so assuming he used the standard brushing method to remove the spider, there is in no way a rational person could construe that as sexual harassment. YDI. Why didn't you just say something? "Oh, here, you've got a spider on your tit."

Hmm, I don't really see this much as an FML. But that's just my opinion. Next time if you see something on a random girl's shirt, you should be like "excuse me, but I think there is something on your shirt" without letting her know exactly what it is, so you don't freak her out if it is a spider, like that. Let her know ahead of time before touching them so they can get it off themselves, or have you do it for them if they let you. But tbh, I think YDI for not letting her know beforehand. But I'm not saying you are a jerk or anything because we all make mistakes. And sexual harassment my ass. That's hardly sexual harassment. But still, you should of warned her.

It could of been below her chest, or etc. Why automatically think it was on her boob only because he said "shirt and sexual" in the same sentence?
