Today, during my second day as a receptionist, every time the phone rang I jumped in shock. My co-workers now already think I'm weird. FML

I wouldn't want to be in the same room as you during a fire drill.

It's probably because of that time you worked for a phone sex line. There was one guy who was so perverted you hung up on him after calling him a pervert. He then kept calling you back after tracing your number. You were so afraid, till this day, you are still scared of picking up the phone... I have a wild imagination.

This reminds me of my first time playing CounterStrike, an FPS game.

You'll get more into it.. Hopefully, I mean, you never know what'll happen. But if your still scared after a while, I think you picked the wrong job.. Perhaps a teacher? Wait.. They still practice fire drills.. And then people still call you during the day.. Uh.. Maybe a stay at home job like.. I have no idea.. You're on your own, I wish I could help, sorry.

Don't worry about what they think. You're new and you're nervous and that will pass. On my first few days at my job I'm at now as a baker I burned, dropped and messed up so much stuff because I was so damn nervous and worried about what my coworkers thought of me. Now I'm the head baker and I love my job. Give it some time. I bet you'll be on top of your shit in no time.

You weren't expecting the phone to ring working as a receptionist?!

The fact that younsaid "already" says that you are weird and were trying to hide it.

Don't worry. I've been working as a secretary for 6 months and still jump when the phone rings.
