Today, I accidentally dropped my birth control pill on the floor and my dog ate it. The good news is, I startled her and she spit it right out. The bad news is, I still had to take it after it had been in my dog's mouth. FML

No, you didn't have to take it. You could have taken the next day's pill and just continued on and had a 27 day cycle instead of a 28 day cycle. Your body would have been a lot better off than consuming something that had been in a dog's mouth. YDI for not thinking.

I would never in a million years. I don't care what anybody says about clean dog mouths. I'd rather wear condoms for the whole month. Yet another reason I would never get a dog.

it sounds to me like you couldn't get anything anyway. no one wants to kiss someone who eats after their dog.

a dog's mouth is MUCH cleaner than a our's. So don't complain, seriously. I'm sorry, but please, suck it up.

lol that would be most logical..but i know mine pretty much dissolve instantly.

YDI. isn't a dogs mouth a lot cleaner then humans?

"That's not true! My aunt's a gynecologist and she's the one that prescribes me my birth control pills. You can skip a day and take two the next day, or you can take the next one in the pack and get another pack a day early. Either way, there's always a backup plan because, as my aunt said, accidents happen and you aren't always gonna keep up with your pills. You should have talked to your doctor first, sweetie. YDI. Good story, though." Quoted for truth. You should have listened to your doctor who prescribed it to you instead of thinking you know everything and ending up with this mess. If your doctor DIDN'T explain it to you, you don't deserve it, but you DO need a new doctor.

No, she would still deserve it. All birth control pills come with an insert that explains exactly what your options are in this situation. Had the OP read the instructions with her medication, she would have known.

Ok. Fine she still deserves it. But she also still would need a new doctor if he/she was too incompetent to explain that to her.
