So the problem here is that you BOUGHT a cat. Have people never heard of a ******* animal rescue shelter? And to get a cat because you want to mess with it, makes you even more of a douche.

#102, Rescue shelters and pounds near me all charge to adopt animals. Thus, I bought the animals I adopted. They rightly assume that if you can't afford to buy the animal at minimal cost, you can't afford food, supplies, and vet care.

I adopted a dog once. Cost me $75. Therefore, I bought the dog. I have never heard of an animal shelter that doesn't charge you to adopt a dog. And even if the OP bought her cat from a pet store, so what? To me, that's like saying "You shouldn't have a baby, there are ones you can adopt.

The problem with buying from pet stores rather than paying a nominal adoption fee at your local animal shelter, is that it feeds a demand from backyard breeders and puppy mills. Stop the demand, the supply will slow. The adoption fee usually covers your first round of vaccines and these animals have already been socialized, spayed or neutered, and grateful for a forever home! Common sense!

My husband's cat hates laser pointers, scratching posts, feathers on a stick... Basically she hated everything except attackimg strangers. We've come to the conclusion that she's simply the world's most misanthropic cat ever.

You are terrible! Lasers are awful for cats/dogs to chase!! If your cat ever got outside or was an outdoors cat, it would chase cars!! You totally deserve it! Enjoy your pet for what it is- a pet! Not your convenient entertainment store.

How did you come up with that? I've never heard of an animal chasing cars because of playing with a laser pointer. My cats and dog love the laser, but don't go near cars.
