Today, I came back to my apartment to see that my roommate had left out bread, deli meat, and cheese on the counter, and made myself a sandwich. When she came back, she informs me that she found bugs in the fridge and took out all the food she thought would be contaminated. FML

That's disgusting. And I don't understand in anyway why there's such a large amount of "you deserved that one" votes, your roommate should have thrown the food out.

Did you look at it first??? And why DIDN'T she throw it away??? Your roomie's a dumbass

I mean, she should have thrown out the food, but why would you make yourself a sandwich with food that's clearly not yours? For all you knew SHE was planning to make a sandwich with it. I think that was pretty rude.

I can't believe no one has mentioned this yet: how would bugs survive in the fridge? Moisture, maybe, but actual bugs? This is so, so fake.

Jenny's half-right. The bugs would survive in the fridge, but they wouldn't be moving around. About 10 seconds after getting in the door, they would slow to a crawl and after about 10 more seconds they would be immobile. Insects need heat to move around, which is why you see so few of them in the winter. However, many of them can be frozen solid in your freezer and later be thawed out and completely fine. Try it.

#8 I assume you aren't the "brightest bulb on the tree" either, seeing as how trees don't have bulbs.

1) Why would you eat food that may have been out for a while and may have spoiled? 2) Your roommate is an idiot for leaving food out and not telling you anything -sounds unlikely 3) Did you see the bugs?

Also, the expression, "not the brightest bulb on the tree" is an expresson like "not the sharpest knife in the cabinet" or "not the sharpest tool in the shed." Your obviously not "the brightest bulb on the tree" if you've never heard that expression. I've heard that expression and I'm 12.

lol don't eat things that are just lying around.

#8 and #37, #35 wins. Trees do not have bulbs, but tools are in sheds, and knives can be in cabinets. Last time I checked trees didn't have electricity. Now that the flaming is done with, FYL, because usually people would assume that because the food is out, somebody had just taken it out. Also, to whoever said it was rude to make the sandwich, wtf? It's called a shared fridge, and just because the OP didn't take it out of the fridge doesn't mean they didn't have a right to it. I'm bored.

To the idiots that don't understand 'the brightest bulb on the tree'.. It refers to christmas lights. Sometimes there are ones brighter than others.
