Today, I came to the conclusion that you should always tell the truth. While I was busy reassuring her that the condom didn't break, she was telling me how it was okay because she was on the pill. According to the pregnancy test, we both lied. FML

Today, three weeks after my girlfriend told me she was pregnant, she admitted it was a lie. Turned out it was just a test to see if I'd break up with her or not. I didn't, but I did just break the bank buying all the things we'd need for an actual kid. FML

Wait... sorry, but this doesn't entirely make sense. Did you, or did you not, lie? I don't think you need a pregnancy test to tell you that. And how do you know your girlfriend lied? Neither the pill nor condoms are fool-proof. I have a friend who got pregnant while on the pill and her husband used a condom. So, the pregnancy test isn't telling you that you both lied. Your conscience is telling you that you lied, and you are presuming your girlfriend did too. How about you ask her? Because it's possible she was on the pill.

Or you were the only one that lied, or neither one of you lied, because neither the pill nor the condom are 100% safe, and even if you use both there is still a teenytiny chance that she might get pregnant. I actually know a girl this happened to, she was on the pill, used it properly, but also used a condom, because she didn't know if the guy had an STD and she got pregnant. But still, FYL.
