Today, I confessed my feelings to the guy I've had the biggest crush on. He spent the next ten minutes calling me delusional, said that I know nothing about him, and laughed that "this isn't Twilight, for fuck's sake". All he did when I started crying was pat me on the head and leave. FML

Why does he sound like an asshole? Maybe she really doesn't know anything about him and only admired him from afar? Maybe he thinks confessing your love to someone you don't actually know is a bit odd. I'd have to agree. "I think you're attractive, wanna grab a coffee?" - yes. "I looooooove you!" - hell no!
