Today, I contacted a girl who dropped her ID at a club last night. I offer to drive 2 hours to return her ID to her. She is thrilled. When I arrive, she gives me a strange look, takes the ID, and runs back into her house. A two hour drive without even a thank you. FML

I think your missing his point

Is anyone else actually wondering HOW he contacted her in the first place? Last I checked, ID's don't have phone numbers, or email addresses on them, or am I missing something?

Facebook? Very few people keep their security turned all the way up, and very many people have their information on there.

or phone book. ID has their name and address on it.

Yeah it's pretty creepy even without the 4hr round trip

Ids in the us have home addresses on them and they have to be updated if you move

It's not unusual to have an "If found, please return to..." card with contact info like that in your wallet.

#64 it says he contacted her, not specifically called. Probably searched her name on fb and either sent her a message or got her number from there..
